Former Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi joins the Daveberta Podcast to talk about politics in Alberta’s largest city, the upcoming provincial election, The Last of Us and the city’s film industry.
“Be humble, talk about how we are lucky be in the position we are in and how you are going to fix it for future generations,” was one piece of advice Nenshi offered to Alberta’s political leaders ahead of the next election.

Much food for thought here. So good to listen to pundits who can be blunt and specific without resorting to vindictive rhetoric. If the NDP could take a few pages from Janis Irwin's playbook on community engagement (firm but compassionate. Smart but humble about what she knows. Welcoming to even those who will probably vote against her) and apply them to communities outside of Edmonton ..... still will be tough sledding in the far rural reaches but could influence people in municipalities closer to Edmonton.
This was an interesting perspective on the upcoming provincial election.
However, I think that he does not see that the NDP do indeed have good plans.
